The West Duchesne County Chamber of Commerce would consider supporting a Bond election if the following were done: 1. A complete study of the Medical needs of the WHOLE county be made by an expert. 2. All facts regarding maintenance and operation costs be established. 3. The Professional and Technical staff requirements for a hospital be established and a determination as to whether the people required would be available. 4. Future population growth in the county be studied. 5. If a hospital is to be constructed by Duchesne County taxpayers for the use of Uintah County residents, that Uintah County be asked to pay their share of the costs of construction and maintenance. 6. The County Commissioners act as neutral elected public officials and not become involved in controversial issues when their only obligation is simply to present all the facts, and not engage in trying to sell a bond election to the voters. 7. Meetings be held in all areas of the county and the facts be given to those who will be paying the taxes and be given an opportunity to discuss them. 8. It should be determined what would happen to the bonds if some of the money were not available as has been anticipated from other sources.
