In play this Friday evening, one of the two perfect standings will fall as Union travels to Tablona to test the strength of the Tigers. Although Union has shown more strength over Altamont than did Tablona, the home court edge which the Tigers will enjoy could set the stage for a victory. This is Tabiona's first game on their court this year, and with Rhoades, Fab-rizi- o and Giles all scoring in the double figure column during their last two games, Friday's encounter should provide a down to the wire battle. Duchesne - Uintah The game of the week last Friday would have to be the Duchesne-Ulnta- h tussle. Both teams played excellent ball, running up an impressive 771 to 72 score. The running Eagles proved to be too much for the Utes, however, and Duchesne led during most of the game. After allowing Uintah first basket, Duchesne took the the working to perfection, Eagles ran up a 10 to 2 score in little more than two minutes, behind the red hot shooting of Russell Cowan. Although the pace then slowed somewhat, the first quarter score saw Duchesne leading 19 to 13. During the second quarter Duchesne scored another 20 points while holding the Utes to 15, to run the half time count to Coming bnck from the half. Uintah caught fire and within a few minutes had closed the 11 poiift gap, and even pulled ahead one basket. The Eagle couldn't seem to stop the Ute drive. With Ray Jensen finding the range, Duchesne pulled out to 0 at the end of the third period, and held a similar lead throughout the fourth quarter as both teams dumped in 22 points. Jensen led the scoring with a hot 27 points.
