The licence fee for opconducting pool or billiard erating oror rooms tables shall be $10.00 per license fiscal period per table, provided that no license to operate or conduct a pool or billiard room shall be less than $50.00 per license fiscal period. SECTION 14. Every person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of peddling, or offering for sale, bartering, or exchanging at retail any garden, or farm produce, fruits, butter, eggs, poultry, fish, game, or any goods, wares or merchandise whatsoever, or reany tickets, coupons or receipts serpresenting value, or redeemable in vice, photographs, works of art, goods or merchandise whatsoever, in, upon or along any street or highway of Salt Lake County, outside of incorporated towns and cities, must procure a license therefor from the County of Salt Lake, and make therefor the following payment: For a license to peddle vegetables, fruit, garden produce, butter, eggs, poultry, fish and game, $25.00 per license fiscal period or any part thereof for each wagon or stand so employed. For a license to peddle bread, cakes or bakers produce, $12.50 per license fiscal period or any part thereof for each wagon, stand or push cart so employed. For a license to peddle fruit, vegetables, form or garden produce or bakers produce, by hamper or otherwise than by a push cart, stand or wagon. $10.00 per license fiscal period or any part thereof for each hamper so employed. For a license to peddle or sell coupons, tickets or receipts representing value or redeemable by any person to apply in part or in full payment on services, photographs, works of art, goods or merchandise of any kind whatsoever, $25.00 per license fiscal period, or any part thereof, for each person so peddling. For a license to peddle peanuts or popcorn, $12.50 per license fiscal period, or any part thereof, for each wagon, stand or push cart so employed. For a license to peddle dry goods, household appliances, wares and notions of any kind, $50.00 per license fiscal period; but in the event the apdesires a license for a period plicant less than six months for the peddling of the articles last enumerated, a license may be Issued upon the payment of $10.00 per day for any period less than six months for which such license is Issued. The provisions of this section shall not apply to persons peddling or offering for sale butter, eggs, fruit, vegetables or poultry raised or produced by themselves, but it shall be unlawful for such persons to peddle the aforesaid products unless they shall register their names, residences, occupations and number of wagons or conveyances used or to be used by them in peddling said products by filing a sworn statement in the office of the County Clerk of Salt Lake County, and shall secure a plate as hereafter provided for each wagon or conveyance to be used, showing the business they are engaged in and the year for which the same is issued. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to mingle and sell the produce of another with his own, or to mingle and sell with his own produce any produce purchased from another, without procuring the license required for a produce vendor herein. It shall be unlawful for any peddler or vendor, licensed or registered under the provisions of this section, to ring a bell or gong, blow a whistle or make any other noise to attract customers, or in a loud voice cry his wares for sale. Only one person may peddle with each wagon or vehicle, but each such by one peddler may be accompanied not driver or attendant who shall peddle. Any person keeping produce, goods, wares and merchandise of any description at a private residence and soliciting trade therefor in person or by agents, or by telephone, and deliverthe same, shall be deemed a peddler ing or produce vendor under the provisions of this section, and shall be required to produce a license therefor, and shall not operate under a merchants li- ense. It shall be unlawful to peddle any medicine, nostrum or remedy of any character or description, and no license shall be Issued for such purpose. Nothing in this section contained shall be construed to permit the peddling of fresh or cured meat, and the . semi-annual- ly peddling of the same is hereby forbidden. Each peddler using a vehicle or other conveyance in his business shall obtain an fasten upon the right side of such vehicle a metallic plate bearing the year for which license Is issued, the license number and other description prescribed by the County Clerk, and persons peddling their own produce, under the provisions of this section, shall likewise be required to fix a metallic plate bearing the year of registration with the number and description designated by the County Clerk upon the right side of any vehicle used by him for that purpose. SECTION 15. It shall be unlawful for any licensee, under 4he provisions of this ordinance, or the agent, manager or representative of such licensee, to permit or allow any person under the age of twenty-on- e years to enter, visit, frequent or remain in any card club, card room, pool or billiard room, or place where card tables, pool or billiard tables are being operated or to hire or employ in the operation of said card club, card room, pool or billiard room, or room or place where card tables, or pool or billiard tables are in operation any female person or any known gambler. SECTION 16. It shall be unlawful for any licensee, or the agent, manager or representative of such licensee, to permit any pool or billiard room, roadhouse, social club, dance hall or floor, or any card club, card room or place where card tables or pool or billiard tables are in operation to remain open on Sundays or between the hours of 1 a. m. oclock and 6 a. m. oclock of any day; provided, that dancing shall not be permitted in any of the said places on Sunday or after 12 o'clock midnight of any day. SECTION 17. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $299.00 or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not longer than six months or by both such fine and imprisonment. SECTION IS. All orders, ordinances and resolutions in confiict with these provisions are hereby repealed; provided, however, that it is not the intention hereof to repeal the ordinance passed by the Board of County Commissioners on June 11th, 1924, relating to the business of manufacturing, storing, handling, conveying, keeping for sale, selling or exposing for sale, meat, dairy and food porducts, and providing for the inspection of the same.
