Show THE CITIZEN GRAND HOLIDAY BILL IS PRESENTED AT PANTAGES SURELY a treat to see the show this week. One of the best plays of the season is presented and all visitors and local people appreciate this holiday treat. Every vaudeville act is peppy and full ITS a popular song and is given a big hand. Among several interesting pictures thrown on the screen, A Single Man is the feature in which Lew Cody, Ail-ee- n Pringle and Marceline Day take the leads, supported by Ed. Nugent, Kathryn Williams and other prominent stars. This is a court picture showing where a young prince was stolen by some gypsies and at the end of eight long years was discovered by accident and the parents and child reunited. It is a beautiful picture and shows the real side of life. The vaudeville bill is opened by the Davalos Spanish Orchestra of' twelve pieces and the sweet music coming from the stringed instruments is most charming and greatly appreciated. They play selections the people like and they know how to play them and bring out the real and harmonious music. The Senator from Sand Pit, KSLs featured entertainer, gets the audience laughing with his convenHis tion address and fuflny jokes. rendition of a vocal solo, Among My Souvenirs, concludes a rather entertaining act and he gets much well earned applause. Silks and Satins, with A. Gar-bel- le and Laona Gainor, Mary Gorges, Dorothy Erickson and Madge Whiteside, with Lucile Hotalong at the piano, present one of the classiest acts of the whole season. This is really a dance revue in which graceful and pretty girls appear in a series of new steps in kicking and Garbelle sings acrobatic dances. most of the time and helps keep the act tuned to a high pitch. The girls appear in pretty colonial costumes and dancing costumes. The Wai-ki-dance makes a hit. The Swanee Singers, a male chorus of 50 male voices, is a real classic in singing and no better chorus has ever been heard in this city, and the people keep them singing by answering encore after encore. Mary Pierce has the voice of a prima donna and sings in a rich soprano voice in which articulation is well defined and distance Earl easily and plainly reached. The story is unique and the working out of the plot is thoroughly delightful and contains many surprises as well as laughter, pathos and heart interest. It makes an ideal Christmas attraction and so confident is the management in its success that a special matinee has been scheduled for Christmas day, next Tuesday, at 2:30.
