Show THE CITIZEN 10 the opinion that the season should be opened on does because there are too many, they claim. Advocates of opening the law on does do not stop to think. If there are localities where there are numerous does and no bucks, efforts should be made to ship some bucks to that particular district. To open a season on does only means that the season be closed and not following may opened for many years. States in the east where the best deer hunting is had have long ago learned the lesson that the secret of good deer hunting is the protection of the doe. Some of the boys say they will try to have the season opened on does next year, but if they do they will . and it will be set up on its arrival. The candy mixture is put in at one end of the machine and the ovaltine candy bars come out at the opposite and prepared and wrapped without human hands touching them. The ovaltine bar is a refreshing sweetmeat and is relished by .the young and old. While it is a candy with a delicate flavor, it is an essential food and very nourishing and it may be eaten by those to whom candy is prohibited. Hunters who go out and shoot does and fawns should receive a severe penalty. There is no excuse for shooting either. When a deer is so far away that horns cannot be seen, there is little chance of hitting the animal, and if hit it gets away and probably dies of its wound. The man who could deliberately shoot a fawn has little sporting blood in him. MANY HUNTERS The opening morning of the pheasant season brought out so many hunters that many returned home fearing to step out on the firing line. Many pheasants have been killed, but not so many quail. The quail are harder to get at and seek shelter in the thicker brush. The pheasant can generally be flushed along the ditch banks and in the stubble fields, but during the past few days they have been hard to get because they fly away as soon as a hunter is sighted. What Mother Really Wants SHORT TROUT SEASON The trout season closed a month sooner this year than ever before and Utah has the shortest fishing season of any state in the Union how. This means that Idaho will get still more of our sportsmens money because up there they have a much longer season and better fishing. There surely must be something wrong in the way we plant our fish, or we do not plant the number reported, because the results are not there. We ought to have a longer open season than any other state. for CHRISTMAS is no secret. Every woman wants this modern, clean and dependable servant in her kitchen. It cooks better food.
