That is not all. He is manager of the greatest vaudeville and picture theatres ever organized under one head. His father, Alexander Pantages, the original organizer and builder of fine theatres, left nothing undone to make the Pat-age-s circuit the most complete amusement venture in the history of the theatrical world. The patrons of Pantages theatres see the best there is in the world, whether that be in pictures or vaudeville and for less money. i Pantages announces that the people will be given the greatest show value in the history of the stage during 1927 and 1928. Ben Hur, and the Big Parade, Seventh Heaven are secured. These, the greatest pictures .ever filmed, will appear shortly at the Pantages theatre in this city. Critics have declared The Seventh Heaven is the finest picture ever produced at any time ana anywhere. It is running at the Cart-ha- y Circle theatre in Los Angeles for one year and the people are paying per seat to see it. It will be shown In this city at the Pantages theatre at the regular prices, which by the way are the cheapest of any theatre on the Pantages circuit. Prices have been raised in other cities but prices here have remained the same. $2 . FAMOUS SIAMESE TWINS APPEAR AT PANTAGES Violet and Dasiy Hilton, born joined together, now eighteen years of age and known as San Antonios famous Siamese Twins, make the big hit at the Pantages theatre this week. They are a marvel of the scientific and medical world, and they are now traveling the Pantages circuit exclusively as one of the highest price vaudeville acts or the stage today. These two girls are perfect dolls, with their long blond curls, dark illustrious and twinkling eyes, bright and : beaming countenances portraying unusual happiness, notwithstanding their unfortunate pre- dicament. They sing, dance and p:ay several musical wind instruments, as well as being expert pionists, and tney are good entertainers and they are very popular with the people. While the girls are doing their bit on the stage, in pops a pair of twins and they make love to the girls and dance with them, as well as sing. y The Norris Monkey Movie Stars wonderful intelligence and are al- dis-plo- most human in their actions. Here we have big monkeys that roller skate, ride bicycles, clog and black bottom dance, walk on high stilts and cut up all sorts of clownish capers when they are out of reach of their master. It is the best monkey act ever seen here. The Burns Twins are two youths who resemble each other so closely that it is impossible to distinguisn one from the other. They present a singing and dancing act worth while and they get a big hand and are recalled several times. Coakley and Van are two black crows doing a blackface act that has the audience snickering throughout. One of the niggers is so lazy he can barely talk; it is even a great effort and exertion for him to talk while the other is full of vim. Reposing upon bales of cotton on the lod plantation trey argue about everything from the moon down and they have some good stuff. Morgan Davis and Lulu McCoy appearing in bits of boobology spring some jokes, kid each other, play the accordian and sing. The feature picture this week, Ricn But Honest, is a comedy love story in which there are many thrills ana several upsets in proposed matrimonial ventures, in which the right ones finally get together. It is a picture full of pep and holds attention from beginning to end . The Unknown, a thrilling picture in which Lon Chaney is featured, has been secured by Manager Pemberton for next weeks presentation on the screen. BIG DOINGS AT LAGOON PIONEER DAY FOR PATRONS An interesting round of events is programmed for Lagoons Pioneer celebration over two days, Sunday and ; Monday, July 24 and 25, and it is anticipated that the crowds at the resort during these days will exceed the at- tendance at any previous Pioneer day celebration in the resorts history oh 31 years. Two concerts will be presented Sunday, commencing at 4 and 7 p. m., featuring the noted D. & R. G. W. band, directed by O. B. EvansBoth concerts will be broadcast over station KDYL, Salt Lake City. In addition to the concerts, everything at the resort, except dancing, will be open. Principal features include bathing, boating, picnicking and enjoying the fun of the many amusement concessions. Mondays program includes concerts during the day by the well known Midvale City band, directed by William Cox, a matinee dance commencing at 4 oclock, an evening dance at 8:30 p. m., and other events.
