One of the boys gives a slow motion picture style of one of ALL FEATURE BILL IS PRESENTED AT PANTAGES An all feature bill is presented at the Pantages theatre this week and the crowded houses are an indication of the popularity of the bill. Ankles Madge Bellamy stars in Preferred2 a thrilling picture which makes a hit with all who see it. It shows how pretty working girls with shapely ankles make their every wish come true. There is a real love story entwined in the business life of the girls and the story shows how real love finally conquers. Others in the cast are Lawrence Gray, Berry Norton, Allen Forest, Marjorie Beebe, J. Farrell MacDonald, William Strauss, Mary Foy, Lillian Elliott and Joyce Compton. Dorothy Gulliver again appears in a thrilling collegian picture, known as The Relay. The Esther Four presents the opening vaudeville number in which gymnasts present several difficult and graceful balancing stunts. A young girl does a pretty dance in which she goes through several balancing feats which require great strength and skill. Emily Earle & Company present the life of the ordinary sales girl in the average department store. She is always longing for something different and wants to be like the girls in the story books. She sings and indulges in much comedy with her male partner. La Salle, Hassan and Moran make up a combination of dancing and tumbling experts who do some mighty the stunts. The Lucky Stiff is a playlet showing dissatisfaction no matter what the station in life. A poor man and a rich man meet in the park. The poor man has a large family; the rich man, no one but himself and a fine big automobile. The rich man longs for a child while the poor man would give anything to possess an automobile. The story is well presented in the midst of beautiful scenery, such as one would find in a beautiful spot in a public park. Shean, Phillips and Anger appear in a feature dancing number and good singing. The two boys are well trained steppers and work in perfect unison, introducing some original steps. The girl has a good voice and her singing is very pleasing. is coming next week, Dante known as the triumph of trickery. 1 PEOPLE DEMAND ANOTHER WEEK OF BIRD OF PARADISE The Bird of Paradise will be on the boards at the Wilkes again next week to accommodate the thousands turned away during the past week. This wonderful scenic play has established a new attendance record at the Wilkes. Many thousands were turned away during the current week and the Wilkes management found it impossible to cope wtih the crowds. When The Gorilla a few weeks ago set up a new record for the Wilkes attendance by breaking all previous records, Manager C. W. Clogston said he never expected to see the record equalled, but The Bird of Paradise excelled The Gorilla record. The Wilkes Players had no idea of running The Bird of Paradise two Rehearsals proceed with weeks. Charleys Aunt which is to be the ensuing attraction and that show is ready to put on. But the crowds turned away have been so insistent that The Bird of Paradise be presented for a second week that the management finally yielded to the popular demand.
