Show l5BRE5S3B5S555fRSBV THE CITIZEN 12 ELIMINATING WAR. of Brewster Dishop Benjamin Maine, known across the country for his clerical service in New York, South Orange, Colorado Springs and Salt Lake City before his elevation to the episcopate, has signed the Amen-- ' can Arbitration Crusades petition addressed to President Coolidge urging him to negotiate compulsory arbitration treaties between the United States and other countries. The Bryan Treaties, says Bishop Brewster, were treaties of conciliation, since either party might refuse to accept the decision of the arbitration commission; and the Root treaties excepted' questions of honor and vital principle. Ours should be like those concluded by Sweden with Belgium, with Denmark and Finland and with Czechoslovakia, under which the signers agree to abide by the arbitrators decisions on all questions, whatever their nature. Copies of the petition signed by Bishop Brewster may be secured from the American Arbitration Crusade, 114 East 31st street, New York. It reads as follows: To the President of the United States: I, a citizen ol the United States, respectfully request that you negotiate treaties providing for arbitration or adjudicating of all disputes that may arise between the United States and other nations, beginning Vith Great Britain. Such treaties will automatically outlaw war between the contracting parties and inspire similar action throughout the world. , NOTICK OK SALE OF REAL PROPERTY In the District Court of the Third Judicial District in and for Salt Lake County, State of Utah.
