George as the blonde daughter of the professor has an adorable part. Ray Clifford as Poons, Cyril Delevanti as Fico, and Arthur Loft as Pinac, have loveable roles. Noel Leslie as Stanton, Ferdinand Munier as the wealthy Cruger, Miss Fanchon Everhart as the landlady, Miss Lucile Holder as Jenny, the slavery, and others of the large cast, have vital roles. The story of the music master is probably too well known to need repeating. However, the title character is a loveable music master who has been searching for years in America for his wife who fled with a false friend taking the music masters small daughter with them. His struggle against poverty is pathetic. How his chance for vengeance comes and is allowed to pass through his love for bis daughter whom he wants to marry well provides an intensely dramatic story. The characters of the play for the most part are typically human and the sacrifices the musician friends in the play makes for each other are touching. Ferdinand Munier, director of the Wilkes Players, has worked out some splendid settings for the presentation of the play. Curg Peterson, musical director of the Wilkes, has worked out the incidental music. The Music Master will be presented every night next week, with matinees Sunday, Thursday and Saturday. be next weeks sterling presentation of the Wilkes Players at the Wilkes theatre, starting with the matinee Sunday afternoon. The highest royalty of the season is being paid to David Belasco for the use of the play. Ben Envay in the famous Warfield PRODIGIES Prodigies sometimes develop into great men; witness Josef Hofmann who startled the world as a boy pianist and amazes the universe as a mature musician.
