CLONINGER COMPANY STAGES THRILLING PLAY A real play by a real company is about the best way to describe The Girl of the Golden West, presented this week at the Wilkes Theatre by the Ralph Cloninger company. At times he holds the audience in strict attention, being master of the situation at all times. Victor Jory as the sheriff was called upon to face trying and fearful situations at times and was not found wanting. Justice and the administration of the law was ever in his demeanor and well acted. George Cleveland and Ray Clifford were both admirers of The Girl and contribtued a great deal to the mirth or otherwise, to the show. Harry Taylor makes his best hit in the first act.
