Show r THE CITIZEN V .Pb J for City Commissioner The candidacy of P. J. MORAN promises a positive change in the management of municipal affairs and a decided shake-u- p all along the line. He knows the real needs of the city; is not afraid to undertake a big job, and has acquired the habit of getting things done. He is exceptionally qualified for the office. His long experience in public contracting and building has brought him in contact with almost every angle of the citys affairs and every portion of its property. He stands for a radical reduction of the overhead costs of city government, believing that sweeping economies can safely be accomplished all along the line without impairing the efficiency of the several departments. He would thus effect a substantial reduction of the city tax levies, or, if need be, apply such savings to the retirement of the citys fixed debt. He considers the question of the citys water supply to be of first importance, and proposes to give this matter special study and consideration. However, he favors no new permanent improvements of any kind for the next few years, at least, which cannot be financed out of the current revenues. In this campaign he stands solidly upon his long service as a citizen and builder for a bigger and better Salt Lake City. public-spirite- d |
