Show THE CITIZEN With the First Nighters GREAT SHOW IS BEING STAGED AT THE PANTAGES. In a maze of beautiful and scenic scenery and stage settings, beautiful costumes, pretty girls, graceful dancing, classical music and songs, the Pantages this week presents a bill which the patrons will long remember, and which was a real treat to the thousands of visitors who came to the city to participate in the great M. I. A. parade. Six super vaudeville acts and a series of pictures of which the "Confessions of a Queen is the feature, make up one of the best bills of the season. As a result the theatre has been packed to the galleries with patrons. Hirsh Arnolds ballet russe holds the center of attraction. Here appears a chorus of pretty dancing girls in scant but beautiful costumes, which cling to their graceful forms and make them appear like so many fairies. They present a series of graceful dances in which the dance ballet, fire dance, nymphs at play, torch dance, Schorm Rosmarin and hymn of joy were features. The Tripoli Trio present Italian song and music which is staged with beautiful scenic settings. Their singing and music, the latter embracing an accordion and two guitars, is pleasing and of the highest order. Chappell and Stinnette sing and dance in the creole strain and their work is meritorious. Stinnette, a pretty dark girl, has a beautiful voice and her rendition of southern melodies is greatly applauded and appreciated. Gordon and King present something new in dancing and make a big hit. They also sing. Burt Chadwick, a negro gentleman with entertaining proclivities, amuses the audiences in song and dance in a pleasing way. The Three Falcons perform unique trapeze stunts and get a big hand. The Confessions of a Queen is a story of foreign court life, love and intrigue in which Lewis Stone, Helena DAlgey, Joseph Dowling, John Bowers, Eugene Bresserer and Frankie Darn take the leading roles, in which an intricate story is amusingly filmed for entertainment. This great show concludes next Tuesday night. Manager Ed. S. Diamond was on the job during the great M. I. A. parade, which he had filmed and which pic tures are being shown at the Pantages theatre. It was the greatest parade ever staged in this city, in which over 15,000 people, men, women and children, took part and another 100,000 stood on the sidelines to see it. It was a grand spectacle, never to be forgotten. THIS WEEK SALLY GREATEST STAGE HIT, FILMED AT AMERICAN. Floyd Hughes and Leon Errol, Broadway comedy kings, head the big supporting cast. Not even the John Golden play, Lightnln exalcelled its record. "LightninV though enjoying a longer run than "Sally, fell below the Ziegfeld success in gross receipts by some $200,-00New York alone is said to have paid $2,000,000 to witness "Sally on the stage. What the country at large will spend to behold "Sally on the screen is as yet entirely problematical, but it may be guessed that the figures will not be far behind tho.e of 0. the spoken theatre.
