Show OFFICERS GATHER UP bootleggers last night the city marshal and his men arrested william milligan josh crawford herbert fuller and jay homer all charged with bootlegging the men were looked locked up in the city jail and later were taken one ona by one and talked to the result of the conference conte renco was an admission ot of guilt on the part ot of all four for the officers guclu pointed out the circumstances in a number ot of cases proving their case and the men concluded they would plead guilty and rely upon the mercy of 0 the court to make the penalty penally as light as possible before arresting the men a search and seizure warrant was gotten out an and d the home of mr milligan was visited cited as was the davis house where fuller and homer have their rooms nothing ot of a very damaging character was discovered however except some empty bottles later in tile the ev ening tile the arrests were made with ill the result given above this morning at 10 the de fondants fond fend ants appeared before justice denmark jenson jensen when their pleas of guilty were entered upon the docket arid and sentence was passed in ili each cage case afine a fine was imposed as follows william milligan jay homer herbert fuller josh josh cra Craw awford tord gloo the defendants were not prepared to make in in court so were turned over to tits city marshal until their fines were paid the officers have evidence against a number of other individuals chont they are looking for and they report I 1 that two suspects have left the city since the happenings of at last night A systematic watch is being kept over certain parties and when the officers come into possession of evidence that is good and sufficient arrests will be made I 1 |
