Roses were used in the living room and library. The tea table, was covered with a cluny cloth over, old rose, and a low bowl of roses and white sweet peas formed the centerpiece. Bird entertained for Mrs. Cora Powell and Miss Bessie Bird prior to their departure for Portland Tuesday. Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Miriam Gates Parlaman of Brooklyn, N. Y., and Douris Albert Raybould, formerly of Salt Lake and now of San Mateo, Cal. The wedding took place at Burlingame, Cal., June 30. The couple are now in Salt Lake at the Hotel Utah. The bridegroom is a native Salt Laker, the son of A. W. Raybould of this city. He was at one time connected with the reportorial staff of the Tribune. Of the marriage a California paper says: At a small wedding which took place yesterday in St. Pauls chapel, Burlingame, Miss Miriam Gates Parlaman of Brooklyn, N. Y., became the bride of Douris Albert Raybould of San Mateo. The ceremony was performed by Brewer in the presence of a few friends and relatives. Miss Aila Ward of San Francisco attended the bride, and Albert G. Itaisch of San Francisco acted as best man. The bride is the daughter of Schuyler Parlaman, and comes from an old Brooklyn family. She has been visiting friends here and at Pasadena. Mr. Raybould, who came from Salt Lake City, is a San Mateo real estate operator. During the war he was on the staff of Brigadier General It. M. Dan- - the Rev. W. A. ford, commanding Jackson, general of Camp S. C. The couple will pass their honeymoon motoring to Salt Lake City, visiting places en route in the Sierras. They will make their home in San Mateo. Mr. and Mrs. David Russell Packard have returned from their honeymoon trip to the coast and are at home for the present at 249 West Second South street. Mrs. Packard was formerly Miss Gertrude Almond, a June bride. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Warner will leave Saturday for a tour of Yellowstone. Mrs. Warner has just returned from a visit to Des Moines, Iowa.
