M Spieker and the e Ohio geology group to Ephraim and is well known here He an and Mrs Gilliland entertained Mrs Doke and Mrs Crane at dinner in their lovely home Nellie and June attended a stake conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter Saints in Lincoln Mrs Doke reports that th the e weather was grand while she was wa s there and that flowers such as geraniums petunias snapdragons ons etc were still blooming bloomin g outside The fall grain was up and a a beautiful green and the farmers were still picking corn in the fields ripe of course And as for pigs she did not know there could be so many manyas as she saw in Iowa Mrs Doke left her car at Salem in Utah county when she went east cast and found a lot of snow there when she returned She was very much surprised to find Sanpete high and dry when she arrived home Monday night n |
