Show THE CITIZEN 12 Revue De La Ville V nr HE Catholic Women's League gave a silver tea Wednesday afternoon at the Knights of Columbus club house on East South Temple street from 2 until 6 oclock, for the benefit of the new Italian mission which has recently been established by theRev. Father M. Raimondo on Rio Grande avenue. The tea afforded the members of the league an opportunity of becoming better acquainted with the Italian women of the city and of assisting Father Raimondo in maintaining the mission. The R't. Rev. Joseph S. Glass, C. M., D. D., addressed the meeting on the aims and purposes of the Italian mission. A talk on Americanization by Dean William H. Leary was given at 4 oclock. Music was furnished during the afternoon by St. Marys orchestra, and there were vocal numbers by Mrs. M. J. McGill and Miss Anna Dailey, accompanied by Miss Valentine Gorlin-skyPiano selections were given by Miss Ethel Hogan. A patriotic number, with Michael Ferro, son of Antonio Ferro, dressed as Uncle Sam, and Emma Anselmo, daughter of Fortuna Anselmo, Italian consular agent, representing Italy, closed the program. Mrs. John W. Thompson, treasurer of the Catholic Womans League, and also active in all social service work, was the chairman on the committee of arrangements. Mrs. Thompson was assisted by Mrs. C. A. Quigley, Mrs. Frank J. Westcott, Mrs. M. J. Dailey, Mrs. Joseph S. Bell, Mrs. S. E. White- ley, Mrs. Wilbur S. Hodgson, Mrs. A. Fred Wey, Mrs. Frank K. Cameron, Mrs. Austin Gibbons, Mrs. F. L. Hoi- ser and Mrs. D. M. Sweeney. I .. J. entertained at a large informal musical and dancing party at their new home, 1153 East Third South street, Monday night in honor of Miss Miriam Cannon, a bride of the week, and her fiance, Captain H. BARNARD Musical numbers were given by Mrs. Vaughan Cannon, Miss Lois Cannon, Miss Nora Cannon, Mrs. Edna Evans Johnson, Mrs. Richard Hart, Miss Romania Hyde, Miss Ruth Stewart, Chas. CLAUDE S. entertained at their home on Hollywood avenue at a dinner par- ty Tuesday night in honor of Miss Miriam Cannon and Captain Howard S. Bennion, whose marriage took place Wednesday. A color scheme of gold and lavender was used throughout the rooms. The dinner table had as a centerpiece a crystal basket of zinnias and cosmos. HYRUM HAYNES of San was guest of the Tuesday Bridge club at a luncheon at the Country club Wednesday afternoon. Garden flowers in the autumn tints were arranged as a centerpiece for the luncheon table. The club members include Mrs. F. L. Gardner, Mrs. Thomas OConnor, Mrs. A. D. Smith, Mrs. Geo. P. Heath entertained at a large dancing party Wednesday night at the Bonneville Gardens in honor of Miss Ailene Margetts, whose marriage to Lorenzo S. Young will take place at an early date. Wallace, whose marriage will take place Saturday. Dinner was served at one long table set in the green room. A doll dressed as a bride on a mound of white asters formed the centerpiece for the table. The ceremony was performed by George H. Wallace of the Ensign stake in the presence of the immediate families and a few close friends. The bride wore an imported suit model of brown silvertone, trimmed with squirrel, with hat and shoes also of brown. A corsage bouquet of white roses completed the costume.
