The dining room was decorated in a combination of pink and lavender asters. The lawn was starred with Japanese lanterns, shading electric lights. The bride wore a gown of white beaded Georgette crepe over, satin. Her veil was caught with orange blossoms and she carried a shower of pink roses, tied with pink ribbon. The matron of honor, Mrs. Theo Willes, sister of the bride, wore pink taffeta, trimmed in pink satin braid. She carried a bouquet of pind gladioli and cornflowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Elsa Mackay, wore pink Georgette crepe, embroidered, and carried Fred pink gladioli and cornflowers. Mackay, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Assisting Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman in receiving the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Mackay, parents of the bridegroom, and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Paul. Mrs. Hoffman wore an orchid-colore- d Georgette crepe gown, and Mrs. Mackay wore a white Georgette, Mrs. embroidered in white roses. Pauls gown vras of lavender crepe. Assisting in the dining room were Mrs. Leslie Covey, Mrs. Laura Stephens, Mrs. Charles Tate, Mrs. W. H. Paul, Mrs. Ernest Jones and Mrs. J. B. Stewart. NELLIE ANGELL and Eaton were married Monday evening at 7 oclock at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Angell, on Coatsville avenue. The ceremony was performed by Patriarch Harrison Sperry of the Mormon church, and was followed by a supper for relatives and close friends. The bride wore a gown of white crepe de chine and carried white sweet peas. Mrs. H. Samuelson was matron of honor and II. Samuelson was best man. The couple left for Oklahoma to make their home. JAMES MEEHAN, by her son, J. Edwin Meehan, left Monday for a visit at MRS. their former home in Elgin, 111. After spending ten days there Mr. Meehan will go on east to Cornell university, which he will enter this fall. Mrs. Meehan expects to return to Salt Lake later in the year with her husband, who has just arrived in New York from overseas, where he has been a Knights of Columbus secretary with the American Expeditionary forces for the last year. Lieutenant C. W, Brooks, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brooks, 173 Q i). street, has returned from the Hawaiian islands after an absence of five years. Lieutenant Brooks was eighteen months in army service at Schofield barracks, Oahu. Miss Lyall Sweet will leave Sunday for the Marlborough school at Los Angeles to complete her senior year.
