Sears at their home, 1187 Laird avenue, in honor of Miss Clela DANCING McAllister, who is to be married to their son, Dr. Victor Sears, Octo- ber 10. Fall flowers were used throughout the house and Japanese lanterns hung over the lawn! Mr. and Mrs. Sears were assisted in receiving the guests by Mr. and Mrs. J. G. McAllister, parents of the bride. Jack in the Salt Lake temple Wednesday morning,. a reception was given in the evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Forsberg on Fourth South street. A yellow color scheme was carried England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Albert Shepherd gave violin selections, and Mrs. Emmet Browning of Ogden sang. The invited guests were Mrs. B. R. Supper was served at small tables on the lawn. Each had a centerpiece of marigolds in a crystal basket. The lawn was lighted with Japanese lanterns shading electric lights. The bride wore white embroidered crepe de chine and carried pink roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Mima Jack, wore yellow tulle over yellow satin and carried pink asters. Wilford Reichman was best man. Assisting in entertaining and serving the guests were Mrs. J. H. Day, Mrs. Alexander Olsen, Miss Dora Beck, Miss Vera Grace, Miss Lulu Swenson, Miss Jennie Cottrell, Miss LaVerna Day, Mrs. Henry Olsen and Miss Ellen Olsen. Punch was served in the library by Miss Anita Jack and Miss Jessie Jack. The couple will spend the winter in New York and the bridegroom will attend Columbia university. w the last three of Ogden. MR. a recent bride, and Mrs. Arthur. McChrystal of Fort Douglas, were: guests of honor at a large tea given Tuesday afternoon by Miss Gertrude n Geoghegan and Miss Kathleen at the Hotel Utah. Mrs. Joseph Geoghegan assisted the hostesses and the honor guests in receiving. The long tea table was adorned with a gay early autumn color scheme of golden yellow and an oval shaped basket filled with and med, feathery chrysanthemums tied with maline in the same shade formed the centerpiece. At the corners of the table were silver candlesticks filled with golden yellow cathe-dra- f candles and shaded in the same RS. THOMAS KEARNS, JR., at their home on Westminster avenue at dinner Tuesday night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford M. Jones, who were recently married. Mrs. Jones was formerly Miss Leda Nelson, daughter of the host and hostess. Pink and white sweet peas and asters decorated the rooms and formed a centerpiece for the tea table, arranged in a large basket. Music was furnished by Miss Zenna Morris, Blaine Selleck and Mrs. Jones. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Fred Evans, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Rit-- Geo-ghega- long-stem- -. MANILLA HOFFMAN and Mackay were guests of honor at an informal party given by Mrs. James P. Paul and Mrs. J. B. Stewart Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Paul. In the dining room a brass basket filled with pink and white asters was MISS used to decorate the table. Tall vases of sunflowers were effectively used in the living room and drawing room. Games were played and a late supper served. The hostesses were assisted by their mother, Mrs. Dafifl Mackay. Mackay, and Miss Elsl3 were Twenty-fou- r present. guests THE first meeting for the year of Catholic Womans Leagiiie was held Tuesday afternoon at the Ladies Literary club house. In the absence of the president, Mrs. A. H. S. Bird, Mrs. Henry Byrne, first vice president, served as chairman. A talk was given by the Rev. C. B. Moulin-ier- , S. J., regent of the school of medicine, Marquette, Wis., and a group of cello solos were given by Miss Helen Hunter, accompanied b Miss Loretta Malone. Tea was served at the close of the meeting.
