Moroni Ileiner, associated with the roal industry development of Utah for thirty years, was elected president and general manager of tho Utah Fuel company at a meeting of director Thursday, according to Friday a Balt Lake Tribune. Mr. Ileiner, in announcing acceptance of the position, declared he would resign as vice president of the United States Fuel company and auliMiliary companies. The presidency of the Utah Fuel company was vacated by the death of W. D. Brennan, November 1, 3031. The Utah Fuel company was organised in 1900 and at present operates the Castle Gate, Clear Creek and Sunnyside eoal mines in Utah and tho Somerset eoal mine in Colorado. It also own 800 eoko ovens at Sunnyside. The Calumet Coal eompany, n subsidiary, operates tho Del Carbon mine at Wallenberg, Colo. The Utah Fuel company ia owned jointly by the Missouri Faeifie railroad and the Western Faeifie corporation. Mr. Ileiner, who waa born at Morgan, the son of Mr. end Mrs. Daniel Ileiner, waa edneated in Utah and taaght school for four years after his graduation from Brigham Young college. lie served two terms of two years csell as slate dairy and food commissioner on appointment by Governor Heber M. Wells and then entered the eoal business. lie was one of the organisers of the Castle Valley Coal eompany in July, 1909, and served asi vice president of this eompany and the Castle Valley Railway eom-pw- y. Mr. Ileiner also was an organiser Die United States Fuel eompany, which took over the Castle Valley eompany in 1915, and he has served as viee president sines that time of the United States Fuel eompany, in addition to being vire!fudent of of . the Southern Utah In addition, Mr. Ileiner is n director of the Utah State Xational bank, n director of the Granite Furniture company, president of the Radio Sales and Engineering corporation, and is president of the Morgan Canning eonw puny. He also is a member of the eity tho Alta and Country clubs. Mr. Ileiner took over his active duties Wednesday as president of the Utah Fuel eompany. Railroad-eompany- Undaunted by the clamor and uoise con- cert Monday morning, July Fourth, a largo deer wandered into the eity and apparently was not in the lesst disturbed, says the Salina Sun. The deer appeared on the lawn at the home of Wilford Nielson on West State street about 6 oclock in the morning. The animal waa observed und members of the Nielson family admired tho beauty from the forest. It was not until Mrs. Nielson opened tho fron$ door that tho deer beearno alarmed. At this time, it vaulted a high fenre and made a hnrried disappearance in the Fred Mortcnsen field.
