Show OCTOBER I 1M1 THE BUB, PBIQR.PT AH EVERY THURSDAY PAGE TRUSS Utah Coal Producers to Intervene In Dispute Over Rail Rates Why The Utah Coal Producers associa, tion Friday last was authorised by the interstate commerce commission to intervene and become a party to the complaint of the Idaho public utilities commission versus the Oregon Short Line and other railroads, involving rates on coal shipped to Idaho from Utah and Wyoming mines, according to a special dispatch from Washington. J. R. Doolin, executive secretary of the Utah Coal Producers association, said Friday evening that his organization had entered the ease to protect the Utah producers interests after the Idaho utilities commission had attacked freight rates on coal entering Idaho from originating Mints. Utah terests, it is understood, will oppose any reduction in rates on coal shipped from Wyoming without an equal reduction on cost shipped from Utah. The hearing in the case has been set for November 4, Doolin said, and he will probably appear as a witness, along with John J. Craron, sales manager for the Independent Coal and Coke company. The ease is being handled for the Utah producers by H. W. Priekett of the Traffic Service Bureau of Utah. The traffic committee of the coal producers association is composed of T. R. Stockett, chairman; Mr. Craron and J. E. Taylor, general manager of the Mntnal Coal company. My Next Car will be A FORD ( Whin yon bay a Ford there are two thinp yon never have to worry about.
