They are all with ns tonight and we wish to extend to them the hand of good fellowship and wish them the very best of lock and success wherever they may go after tool-dresse- finishing this Gly- - 49c 4 well. The bringing in of this well has a world-wid-e significance aa it is the first one of its kind in history. Car- bon dioxide gas has been produced from oil wells, but not in its pure state, as it occurs at the Farnham Dome. Carbon dioxide has also been produced from the burning of carbonaceous matter and has been used commercially, but the bringing in of a well which will produce twenty million cubic feet of this gas every day will revolutionise many old industries, notably the refrigerating industry and the manufacture of high explosives. The possibilities are almost limitless and we expect to see one of the largest industries in the United States built up from this beginning. The consumption of carbon dioxide has in ereased from 300,000 pounds in 1925 to an estimated consumption of pounds in 1929, all of which of was manufactured as a eolce,' hut with the coming in of the well, where a natural carbon dioxide is produced, the consumption will be increased to many times that figure within the next few years.
