Show Snow Homecoming Is Great Success One of the best Homecoming Founders Day celebrations ever held at Snow at least in the past twenty or more years is the way one Snow College boost b booster oster ost- ost er for a half century described the Homecoming activities of last Saturday The parade was really outstanding outstanding outstanding out out- standing attendance was good the morning meeting was excellent excellent excellent excel excel- lent Snow won the football game at which some fans were present and the evening dance also drew a large crowd of students and others And all these were given a good start by the Friday evening activities which were quite largely large large- ly student functions Parade Winners People who saw this years year's parade as the first Homecoming parade they had witnessed ex expressed expressed expressed ex- ex pressed amazement at such a afine afine afine fine spectacle and wondered why they had not attended previous previous- ly It was a bit chilly for some of the girls in formals or lighter attire but it was really out out- standing The Home Economics club float won first place sophomore place sophomore class float second and Alpha Delta float third Honorable mention was given n the floats entered by Gold Key Intel Intercollegiate collegiate Knights and Scribblers Club Lovely Royalty Winners in the Homecoming Queen co contest test were announced Friday night were featured in ine inthe inthe the e parade and other events of oftie the tie day They were Jeanne Grotegut t of Spanish Fork queen Joan oan Stevens of Mt Pleasant and nd Arlene Simmons of Hollywood Hollywood Holly- Holly i wood Calif attendants M Miss Mis i s s Grotegut a sophomore was crowned owned by Mrs Sandra Micha- Micha elsen Isen Powell last years year's queen One ine of last years year's attendants Miss iss Shannon Shannon Whitlock was also present for the tle occasion Miss Stevens is a freshman and nd is a daughter of Arnold Y and ird Clariss Stevens Miss Miss Simmons is also als a fresh- fresh man tian Three Original Class Members Present Three of the original class were ere present and were recognized recognized at the Saturday forenoon meeting They were P. P C. S Holm recognized rec- rec the various committees committee and ind individuals who had worked to 0 make the day such a success and extended his to tc c the queens past and present Mrs J JoAnn Armstrong sang Hills of Home at the meeting and was accompanied by Mrs AI Ardith S. S Peterson The College mixed chorus directed by Harry Harry Harry Har Har- ry A.
