R Brown left Manti ManU this week to make their I home in Ogden where Mr Brown will assume duties as Branch Manager of the Utah Poultry and Farmers Cooperative Mr Brown received the appointment appointment ap ap- ap nt just last week being from a like position at the Manti ManU branch where he has served for 22 years Prior to his association with the local plant Mr Brown served at Utah Poultry plants at Spanish Fork Salt Lake City and Provo I An active member of the community community community com com- Mr Brown has served in inmany inmany inmany i many civic and church capacities was counselor in the South Ward bishopric for the past two years Prior to this he served in the Sunday School for a number of years Mr Brown is a past president of the Manti Lions Club and rendered rendered rendered ren ren- dered much service in connection with t the h e San pitch Wow Pow-Wow Rodeos and County Fairs He is isa isa isa a director and active member of the Lions Club at the present time His wife wiCe the former Margaret Thurman has been equally ac active active ac- ac tive Uve in the affairs of the community community community com com- and has taught in the elementary school for the past 15 years At the present time she is Activity Counselor in the Manti ManU South Ward She has served as teacher in the ward organizations for many years The Browns have two children both both married Mrs Jean Peterson of Montpelier Idaho and Glen Brown of Salt Lake City They have one grandchild a son of Mr and Mrs Karl Peterson Girven Stott an employee of the Utah Poultry System for 30 years will take over management of the local branch with the off official of- of f i c cia i a l 1 announcement expected this week end I |
