On account of tho extra work caused by the paving and sidewalk contracts, the increase In water receipts and the limited time, I have been nnable to complete tho work and beg to submit this preliminary report: Tho paving and sidewalk contracts cost $104,055.95. Tho state paid $40,000, the property owners 111 pay $22,411.42 and Enreka ,Clty has paid the balance $41,564.52. j Bonds for $18,200.60 on paving contract and bonds for $1,100.00 on sidewalk contract, were delivered to the contractors in part payment.
