U. S. Gun and Canal Stand Test A new company hu Just been organised in Eureka for the manufacture and sale of an automobile pump, which is the Invention of Albert Peterson, a local machinist.- - The company will be known as the Eureka Ante Pump Co., and its officers are as follows: Albert Peterson, president; C. E. Hulsh, vice president; Dr. L. B. Laker, secretary and treasurer, and them with O. W, Spaln-howand James Crooks constitute the board of directors. The company owns the patent rights to a new automobile pump which undoubtedly eclipses anything on the market. The handy little pump Is quickly attached to any make of an automobile and does its work in a rapid and efficient manner, pumping 70 to 90 pounds of air Into an auto casing In leas than two minutes time. Quite a number of auto pumps have been put on the market but none seems to be satisfactory, hence there Is a splendid chance for Mr. Peterson's invention. to ink u Pinion Queen Company! Eureka Of Utah State Firemen a The new officers of the Eut Crown Point Mining company are having a survey of the property made In order to determine the boundary lines and make possible the selection of a site for the new working shaft which is to be started at once. Money from the assessment which wu recently levied will be sufficient to take care of the campaign of work which hu been planned. The ground of this company Is In the eastern end of the district and so located that It will benefit by any new ore developments In either the Iron King or the Zuma. Charles Zabrlskle, formerly connected with the Iron Blossom, is the president of the East Crown Point. Colorado Cons. Mines After spending some time In repair work, principally to the timbers In the winze, the Zuma people this week resumed drifting operations on the 800 level. There appears to be an excellent chance of getting Into some good ore on the 800, the work there having reached a very Interesting stage. It will be remembered that the Zuma first got Into the ore at a depth of 600 feet and that this ore was followed by the wince for a distance of about 150 feet. When the ore dipped away from the winze sinking, continued and It Is for the purpose of picking up this same deposit of ore that drifting Is now being carried on with everything to Indicate that the deposit will be larger and the values higher when It is again encountered. er a bunch of During the put loud on on the encountered 2200 lore! of the Iron Blossom mine end while the deposit wu not u very Urge one It hu given added encouragement to a piece of work that U regarded highly Important by the management of the property. For some time development work hu been In progress on this level, which Is the deepest In the property, being Just above the water, and recently the drift hu been following a splendid fissure which runs northeast by southwest and In which there appears to be an excellent chance of getting a larger body of commercial ore. ? The bunch of ore which wu found th's week was about thru feet In width and similar In character to the small- - stringers encountered Marer the shaft The showing appears to be Improving as the drift U pushed ahead and Manager E. There Is no question I ; ; but what our commissioners will do their part toward opening this highway for travel and Tintic people ere of the opinion that the work should be taken up this fall In order that the new road will be In firstclass condition for auto travel next spring and summer. Utah countys wagon roads are all in miserable condition, many miles of the main traveled highway being torn up on account of road Improvements, and the people of Tintic will welcome the time when they can take their choice of the two routes In traveling to and from Salt Lake. There Is no question but what the route through Tooele county can be made much shorter and In the summer it ought to be about as good a road as tbe longer route through Utah county. i i ; North Le-R- Io Beck holdings of Mr. Rad- J.
