J El- El EI EIt t lot Cameron who has accept accepted d da a position with the Utah State University at Logan Mr Holm HolmA A j took over duties of director I Monday The Camerons leave this we week k to make their home hom ii ii it Logan Mr Holm was vas born at Palmyra Palmyra Palm Palm- yra yla Utah County Sept 21 1914 and arid spent his early life in Palmyra Benjamin graduating graduating from Spanish Fork High School in 1933 He then worked for three years in the mines of Carbon County and Nevada be before be- be fore fare ore entering the n B Brigham r i h gh a m mYoung mYoung Young University Hy to continue his 5 education c He graduated in in 1940 with a bachelor pf f science I degree in economics and a minor In sociology and received his certificate to teach in the secondary secondary sec see schools of Utah a Taught at Tropic But he did not use that teaching certificate immediately l but ut instead worked for a year as s personnel representative in ina ina a department store in Sacramento Sacra Sacra- mento California He did his first teaching at Tropic Garfield County in 1941 42 42 and then went to Idaho where he be taught for two years He returned to Garfield County as principal of the high school at Panguitch But he hp went back to Idaho as superintendent of I the Ririe School District for I three years at w which ich time a I rumber of districts were consolidated consolidated con con- and so h he returned to litah and spent the two school II years 1948 50 in Duchesne dis dis- I He was assistant superintendent superintendent super- super in charge of secondary second second- ary nry education ary-education education for one year and district superintendent the next year His next position was principal principal principal pal of the Pleasant Grove High School from where he went to 1 Panguitch to serve as superintendent superintendent ten dent of the Garfield school district the position he held prior to coming corning to Snow College College Col Cal lege in 1955 He has taught psychology and sociology at Snow and also has r represented presented and Snow in organizing adult classes on and andoff andoff off the the campus campus from Mt Pleasant Pleasant Pleasant Pleas Pleas- ant to Kanab He had 13 such classes last year t Continues Schooling He re has continued his studies n summer school sessions and andin in jn 1951 received a Master of Science degree in educational I administration lie He sp spent nt the summers of 1956 1950 and 1957 doing advanced graduate study at the v Claremont Graduate te School at Claremont Calif Married Harried in 1935 r He lie married Hazel Tippetts in 1935 1935 at Benjamin and they have three daughters and a son Lars Lars' Lor- Lor s' s c etta Holm who is employed by bythe bythe the Equitable Life and Casualty Casual Casual- ty Insurance Co in Salt SaIt Lake City but may come corne back to continue contInue continue con con- her schooling at Snow Marie Mrs Tom Torn Jensen who is Ie spending the summer at Mountain Home Idaho where Tom is employed by the Forest Service but will be back to Snow this fall fal Suzanne Holm who will be in the eighth grade this year and Floyd W.
