The gentleman, who does not care to have his name published in this connection, said: "It Is conservatively estimated that Individual miners have carried away from the mine from 140 to 350 per day In gold which they sold to the various assay offices. There are probably fifty assay shops In Goldfield besides those operated by the company. They buy stolen gold from the miners and conviction for these Crimea Is practicall' ylmpoxxlble because tbe Judge was elected by an organization which protects the miners. "The leases expire on the first of the year, and It la safe to say that none of the big ones will be renewed. When the owners take hold of the property they propose to InaUtnte change rooms. The rooms consUt of a locker and shower bath. When the miners come to work they will be expected to change their street clothes for their working logs, and when they qult shift they will leave their working clothes, go to the ahuwer bath and I li Copenhagen.
