WIDOW IS ROBBED. Salt Lake, May 20. A peculiar burglary was committed at the home of Mrs. John F. Larson about 2:30 o'clock Saturday morning. It was evidently committed by some one familiar with the conditions of the house. Mrs. Larson is the widow of John F. Larson, who was killed by Anthony J. Coleman In the early morning of April 1. She lives at 654 South Fifth East street. Her home was all tarn up In preparation for moving to another place. Household goods were all about the house in the confusion peculiar to such times. 'In one corner of the front room was a small stand In which there was a drawer. In this drawer was a purse containing about $38 in ooin. This is the only article that was taken from the house. The empty purse was later found by Sergeant Hempie near the fence In the rear of the house. From the conditions found by the sergeant it Is evident that the thief came to the house and secured entrance through a back door. It seems that he then deliberately walked to the front room, opened the drawer and extracted the purse. Nothing else was disturbed in the house. No window or door was broken In effecting entrance. The police are working hard on tha case, with good clues, and hope to land the thief In abort order. Chattanooga, Tenn. May 20.
