Tbe little gfrl waa much the worse of the two and Dr. Rich was called and did all In his power to aid the sufferers. Today they are all feeling much better. although all are very weak yet. This morning it was learned tlist Mrs. Agnea Herrick had been very ill at her home during the night. She ate some of the ham yesterday and it Is likely that her illness was the result of the same cause. Some of the ham whirh is said to have caused all this sickness, is being saved by IhiT Herricks so that a chemical examination of tbe aame may be made, to determine whether or not there is poison in it. It looks nice and tempting and If evil lurks there it is not evident to the naked eye. An inquest over tiie remains of FfanA W. Jenne, who was found dead In a little swale near the Ogden river, was Thursday nmining about 10:30, held this morning at 11 oclock before Coroner Howell and a Jury consisting of Amos, graining, Charles Cralger and David Steele. Willie llcnderahot, age 12. testified that ha knew Frank Jenne, deceased, and said that he saw him when he came dowu by the river side. He said that Jenne got off hia wheel. laid it down and then immediately after, laid himself upon the ground face downward. A short time after that the boy heard some one groaning and finally went over in the direction front whence the groans came. He found Jenne lying face downward, groauiug aa if in great min. In a fow minutes from then Jenne died and the poller dciwrtmrnt was notified as 110011 aa ptisaibie by telephone. Young Henderahot testified that a little later, when the officers were there he found a bottle labeled carbolic acid," laying about ten feet away from the body. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hendcrshol, who live near where Jenne died, told what they knew of the affair. Mrs. Hendershot said that she saw Jenne pass her mothers house about 10:30 and that at that time he appeared to have a desjxmdent look on his face. Her husband said that at about 11 o'cUwk be returned home from his wdrk and was told that a dead man was lying down by the river. He went down and although the body was still warm, it had been dead or some few minutes.. He saw the carbolic acid bottle and smelled the odor of the acid. Dr. Lyman Skeen examined the body several hours after death and testified thkt there weren't any particular signs of carbolic acid poisoning. 11s stated there were a number of blotches on the skin In various places, but didn't state what they were canned by.
