Of course, untU mines are opened up there Is no one who can say positively what is to be expected. The indications and the surface showing of the Rawhide properties are fav- orable. -- Rawhide is suffering somewhat Just now from a reaction of the recent boom. The camp was boomed a great deal at the start and Is suffering somewhat becauae of this fact. I think that the showing mane by the camp la commendable. After one has made aii inspection of the properties I do not think that he can be justified in knocking the camp. "I visited a number of different leases and was. pleased with the indications of ore. I did not find a re gat deal of shipping ore, but saw a great deal of good milling ore. In several of the shafts I could see eight or ten feet of thia class of ore, ranging from $30 to $30 or $00 a ton exposed. Large veins of this. ore are to be found in the properties being worked. The officers applied an electric battery to Thompson's aide in an effort to resuscitate him. Their ef' forts were of little avail however. At an early hour this morning, he was In a precarious condition,.. Inquiry at the postofllce last night established teh fact that Thompson had been in the employ of the poat office as a carrier for about a year, that he 'was unmarried and an unusually sober, faithful and industrious worker.
