An Italian family feud which started fifteen yearn ago was aired In police court this morning with the aid of two attorneys and an interpreter, when David Clapler was arraigned before Judge Murphy, charged with having used abusive and Indecent language and disturbing the peace. Judge Murphy, after the entire forenoon had been taken up by the testimony introduced, dismissed the action. Clapler, the defendant. It was alleged had hud trouble with the Bert 1 not is, another Italian family living near the home of the defendant on west Second street. It was claimed by the complaining witness that .Clapler had called Mary Bertlnotl something like 57,varto ties of nasty names, and had. the called the plaintiff, Bertlnotl, as. many more,' winding np by abusing Anna Bertlnotl In a similar manner. It was established that the defendant had addressed his remarks to the wo- -, men in the Italian tongue, but the Judges name being Murphy and therefore hardly Italian the court waa unable to determine Just whether the as addressed to the witnesses was complimentary, abusive, profane or otherwise. For this reason and the fact that the complaint was apparently Inspired by malice, resulting from a quarrel which started more than fifteen ywrs ago and developed into a feud between the twa Italian families, Judge Murphy' freed the defendant Clapler, with th caution that were any more complaints made from this neighborhood the entire lunch would be placed under bonds to keep the peace, All Day l-- 4c 50c. . 11.60. a repair.
