Jones tendered his resignation and turned over the management of the company to a new board of directors selected by H. A. Harvey, who will represent George A. Berger of the Trust Company of New Jersey, Hoboken, N. J. nd controller of the entire stock of the Independent company. It was given out Friday night that the Independent Telephone company would continue to do business as a competitive company with the Rocky Mountain Bell company In Balt Lake, according to the terms of the franchise granted to the company by the city on its organisation.
