PauL D. J. Moore, until recently a brake-ma- n employed by tha Southern Pacific running from Ogden to Montello, was committed to the State Mental hospital at Provo for insanity yesterday, by Dre. About four years ago Mr. Moore, who at that time was a conto ductor running from , Pocatello Montpelier, Idaho, on the Oregon (Snort Line, was struck on the head by a loose box car door. He paid no attention to the accident and was out on the road again the next day. About two weeks later, after he had returned from hla run and turned In his on bis waybills he was sand-baggway borne. For n number of days he was very violent and It was found necessary to have him removed to the mental hospital at Blackfoot, Idaho, where he could get proper medical attention and treatment He remained in this hospital but n short time, having been discharged aa cured. He removed to Ogden and later to Montello where he has been running on the Southern Pacific for the past three years. A short time ago he got a layoff and, accompanied by Mrs. Moote, went east to visit relatives. When they were about to return it was noticed that Moores mental condition was not all that could be desired and he was brought back to Ogden aa soon aa possible. Last Thursday night he became violent and had to be taken In charge by His brothers who were visiting tlie family at the time. Mr. Moore was taken to Provo on Rio Grande train No. thla morning. He. was accompanied iy hla wife and daughter who will go down to see that he Is made as comfortable aa possible at the hospital. 'r.
