Spry and President Allen of the State Conservation Commission held a special meeting, under the auspices of the Tooele Commercial Gub of Tooele City, in this city, on the 10th inst. The object of the meeting was to arouse interest in the people of Tooele and Rush Valleys to take steps to accept the proposition offered to bring the waste waters of the Weber and Provo rivers into these valleys by means of a canal to be constructed through Cedar, Rush and Tooele Valleys. Considerable interest was manifested at the meeting, and the Commissioners of Tooele county have made arrangements to employ three men and a team and all expenses for transportation to go along with an engineer to be furnished by the state to make determinations as to distance and elevation to insure the people that the proposition is perfectly feasible. at & 1st Elders. lle, SALT LAKE LUMBER CO.
