According to the Bingham Bulletin, the Highland Boy, the United States and the Bingham Consolidated are together now shipping 14,000 tons of ore daily to their smelters. This tonnage, it is claimed, will be materially in-- , creased within the next few months. Following up this stream for some distance I found a number "of springs of pure water, and feel confident the Bettys company will never lack for a good supply of water for all purposes. These springs were all located on property belonging to the Bettys company. The camp consisted of a drill- ing rig, engine and boiler room, bunk house, cook house, barn and large underground cellar. The buildings were substantial in every detail, yet everything about the place carried an air of economy, and I learn on inquiry that perhaps no outfit in the field has been so substantially constructed with so small an expenditure. The Bettys rig is recognized by all as one of the best in the field. The stockholders of this company made no mistake in securing the services of an experienced man for the management of their affairs.
