Duchesne lost to North Sevier but looked good in a losing cause. North Sevier scored all their points in the first quarter while Duchesne scored in the fourth quarter on a run by Craig Addley. The game brought an end to the football season at DHS. The Eagles record. And a 3rd finished with a place finish in the region. The spirit and support shown by the studentbody and townspeople were an important part of the success Duchesne had this year. Our girls volleyball team traveled to the Southern part of the state Thursday to play Greenriver and Monticello. Harmstons had high scratch team game with 773 while Hill Top had high team game with handicap with 969. Harmstons also had high scratch team series with 2,105 while the Panthers had the high team series with handicap at 2,739. Basketball tournament set Monday basketball tournament jointly sponsored by the Roosevelt Recreation department and the Ute Indian Tribe will be held Monday, Nov. 14. The deadline for entering teams is Thursday (today). City recreation director Steve BaOey said he and tribal recreation director Rex LaRose expects 15 to 20 teams to participate. A fee of $25 will be charged per team. Teams may register with either Bailey or LaRose. The brackets for the tournament will be drawn up Friday and each team will be notified when and where they will play. Bailey said the tournament is designed to prepare teams for the regular The pre-seaso- n The city recreation program's flag football season ended with a bang last Wednesday with Viersen and Cochran taking first place honors when they beat the Wild Bunch 43 to 14. Overall, the season was a great success, Bailey said. Only one major injury occurred. During the first game Leonard Ducharme injured his knee but otherwise there were only several bruised and banged heads. Next year promises to be even better as everyone involved seems to have had a lot of fun and says they look forward to next year, Bailey concluded.
