Show STANDARD AAAii4 Sadie Post Yump, died December 25 in a Roosevelt nursing home of natural causes. She was born in 1902 in Utah to Peter Smoots and Thelma Post. She married Jack Yump. He died December 14. 1973. Survivors include one daughter, Wilma Unca Sam, Myton; brother, Phillip Post, Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren. Gravesides services were held and burial was in the Myton cemetery. Raquel Witbeck Raquel Witbeck, three year old daughter of Dennia A., and Deborah Lee Monks Witbeck, Myton, died January 8, at home Croier, were married Dec. mond, Alberta, Mr. Canada; and Mrs. Frank Monks, Myton. Here at the Leonard Goodrich home during the holidays were all of their family, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Walker and two boys of Denver, Cola; Mr. and Mrs. Drew Goodrich and three girls, and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Goodrich and three boys of Clearfield; Miss Nell Stevenson of Price and Mary Stevenson of Bountiful and Mrs. Sylvia Goodrich, Bluebell. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stevenson and two children of Roseburg, Ore., visited during the holidays here with his mother, Mrs. Zola Stevenson his two children, 5 Craig and Donna and also other family members. They were enroute to Missouri to spend the holidays, but due to storm conditions they had to turn back 60 miles east of Denver, Cola The Altamont 2nd ward had their annual Christmas party on Christmas eve at the Altamont chapel The Primary presented a nice program and Santa came with goodies for all present. ' 't i Jackpot' s now $179.00, as contestants try to break the bank Mrs. Alden Alexander was presented a check for $11.50 this week, in behalf of her husband who was ill, after his winning the mystery personality contest this week. However, since he did not cor rectly identify all clues, the balance of the jackpot (which was $145.50) will be car ried over. The total now moves up to $179.00. There were a total of 16 clues in the contest last week, identifying Ed Yack as the mystery personality, they were hid- den within the ads of sponsoring mer chants. Hundreds of entries poured in this week, by far the greatest number to date. Estimates are that there were more than 1,000 entries working for the $145.50 last week. Mr. Alexander correctly identified clues that pointed out that Mr. Yack is retiring as Roosevelt City mayor, after having served for 12 years. Other clues stated that he is a member of the state housing council, was a veteran of World War II, where he spent time in the Phillipines. His nickname, birthdate, address and initials were also included. Some tricky clues included the words, have hives", "sweetest business in town and wants to bee back in business, all referred to the fact that Mr. Yack is involved in the honey bee business in Roosevelt. Another clue pointed out that he has an even dozen sisters-in-law- . Mr. Alexander missed two clues. These were the word "sportsman and also the clue "one boy". Many of the entries submitted this week had correctly identified all of the clues. But as the contest operates, entries . 31, in Neva- da. Hoskey McKinley Hoskey McKinley, 91, of Tempe, Ariz., died of natural causes December 27, in a Roosevelt hospital He was born in 1882 in Lukachukia, Ariz. He married Julia Shavanaux, she died in 1934. Survivors include sons, daughters, Wilbur Arrum, Whiterocks; Francis McKinley, Tempe, Ariz.; and Mrs. Dolly Watts, Ignacia Colo.; 15 grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. He was taken to the Roosevelt hospital. Mr. Ahlborn suffered a broken leg and internal injuries. Thursday morning he was transferred to the LDS hospital in Salt take where he underwent major surgery. Ruth Goodrich took Margaret Ahlborn to Salt take Thursday to be with her husband Ernest at the LDS hospital The Tridcll Explorer basketball team won their game with Glines 2nd ward The Thursday night with a score of Tridell M. Men team won their game with Maeser 2nd ward with a score of 44 to 49. The Roy Chapman's moved to Gana-do- , Ariz., Tuesday where Mr. Chapman is teaching school Doyle Haslem, who is in the service has just completed schooling in Spokane, Wash., and has spent the holidays with the Ray Haslem family. Doyle left by plane Saturday morning for Florida to attend a water survival school for a few days and then he will be stationed at Mac Guirc Base in New Jersey. Sherrie McKee left for college Wednesday at Ricks College. She has been visiting at home.
