H. Hinckley, regional supervisor of WPBs Mining Branch. In order to obtain such preference ratings mines have been required to make, application for a serial, number, under Prefer-encSmall Rating Order mines which. produced less than 100 tons of coal a day, however, s could not make individual for serial numbers. The new procedure permits, such small mines in a contiguous area to group themselves and make joint application for issuance of a single serial number. Mr. Hinckley said applications from groups of small operators in Colorado, Wyoming or South Dakota should be addressed to him in Denver. Applications from New Mexico- go to the branch , .
