Ned challenged votes of twenty-thre- e election districts nave now been reviewed by Judge Morse, making 307 passed upon out of a total of 3.411. Of that number 112 have been counted for Judge Howell and 58 rejected. Judge Rolapp has received 87 additional to hia total and 52 have been rejected. The Adding the number or challenged ballots passed upon to the ballots already accepted on the recount, the totals are: Rolupp, 5.288: Howell, 4.933. It will be seen that on the count' of the challenged ballots, so far, Howell has gained 24 votes over Rplapp. Multiplying the totals of all the ballots actually accepted up to noon today for the contestant and contestee, it Is shown that Rolapp has a majority at present over Howell of 255. This may be accounted for by the fRct that 505 more challenges were made against Howell than were made against Rolapp. and the Indications are that the latter's majority will gradually he overcome by the former's gains. Judge Morse, however, made an Important ruling today when Warren district was reached. A great many ballots were challenged in this district because the name of "George East waa written at the bottom of the Democratic ticket for constable, the name being In the same handwriting In all instance. The Court sustained the challenge and the ballots were rejected. While It la believed that the ruling will affect each candidate about equally. the Important point is that should that ruling hold good in Morgan county, where the names of candidates were written in by several Individuals. It will mean a considerable gain to Rolapp, as the ballots excluded will be principally Howell ones and in this county he had his largest majority 99 votes for the splendid new Masonic temple, which is to be erected in Ogden during the coining summer, have been prepared by Architects J. A- - Smith gnd A. F. Parker and were presented at last nights meeting of Wfcber Lodge No. 6. A few changes were made In the plans and they will again be presented and, undoubtedly, adopted at the next meeting, March 16th. The building when completed will be one of the finest structures on Washington avenue. The plans call for a beautiful and ornamental stone front of remarkable architecture. Nothing that money can buy will be spared to make it a building which will reflect everlasting credit on the lodge. The location chosen Is the site on the south of the Blackman A Griffin building on AVashington, which has been purchased by the lodge at a cost of 812,000. The south wall of the Blackman & Griffin building will form the north wall of the temple. The latter will be a durable and modem three-stor- y brick structure with a basement. The first floor will be used for store rooms while the second and third floors will be exclusively used for lodge purposes. such as one large and a small lodge room, rooms for the secretary, commandery, banquet and paraphernalia. The banquet hall will be a spacious room and so arranged that it can utilise aa a dance hall at short notice. A .fine suite of smoking and reading rooms will he found facing the street on the second floor. The building, aa at present estimated, will cost 540,000 and this plus the 812.000 on the lot will make an Investment of 352,000. Work on the building will be started as soon as the plans are adopted and the contracts let.
