The reason for ordering his arrest is not definitely known to the local police, although Levy states that he was undoubtedly being held at the request of one of his sons for the purpose of having him committed Jo an II. Joseph Turner and Thomas who were last Friday found guilty of robbery, were brought up before Judge Rolapp this morning for sentence. Turner was sent to the penitentiary for live years and Doyle, who made an earnest appeal for clemency, wan sentenced to one year. In the case of the latter there were mitigating circumfttancea which called for leniency and Judge Rolapp gave the defendant the full benefit of the same. The men were charged with having stolen four watches from Samuel Rostreet pawnsen. the Twenty-fourt- h broker, and according to the testimony adduced by the prosecution the methods pursued by the men are those employed by the most modern bandits. Doyle entered the store and drawing a large bowle knife he held it at Rosen's throat, while Turner helped himself to the chronometers. Upon leaving the store they made for Electric alley with Rosen In hot pursuit. He caught up with them and a light ensued, Rosen and one of the men going to the ground.
