The woman died with her arms entwined about Orth. He was found unconscious and there is considerable doubt of his recovery. But he did not have the determination or the courage of the woman, or he, too, would have met his death. Arsenic was the medium which they chose to end their troubles. The woman took two doses and died with a sinile upon her lips. The man took one and is suffering the tortures of death. After the first swallow of poison Mrs. Garner took a second dose to make her end certain. Orth lost his courage and refused to follow her example. Rorlety throughout the state is shocked at the tragic end of Mrs. Garner. Her most intimate friends did not suspect that she and Orth were Intimate, and it came with the suddenness of a thunderclap to the husband.
