The city couiicll and especially the street committee Is being coinplimnct-e- d on every hnnd for the efficient rind street sprinkling system which has been Inaugurated and Is being carried out. In fact, there Is talk among the business men of subscribing for a testimonial to be presented to the city fathers for the earnest and faithful manner In which they have conserved the interest of the merchants In this respect. This summer has been notable for high winds and an abundance of dust. It has ben still more notable for the lack of sprinkling. With the streets torn up as they are Just now the dust, of course. Is more plentiful and for that reason more enlarged sprinkling facilities should have been arranged for. But the opposite Is the ease, and for days throughout the summer business men and the eltixens generally have been subjected to the inconveniences and disagreeable result arising from dust storms. Of course, when the storm has passed, when the wind has subfdded, a sprinkler or two will emerge from Its hiding place and begin Its work; or at the near approach of rain they will commence operations. The canyon road Is kept In splendid condition by being sprinkled. Why can not the streets of Ogden be kept In a similar eundltlon? Echo answers Why?
