On the first day of the new year Blair paid the Parley ranch another visit. They chatted about old days and looked at some old photograph Pointing at the likeness of Rose, taken when she was 8 or 10 years old, Blair nemarked laughingly, I was once very fond of that little girl "And I was once very fond of that young man," she retorted, displaying an old photograph of her rescuer. And whats more, she continued, blushing rosily, 1 think Pm still very fond of him this is leap year, you know, and George, let's get married." It didnt take George half so long to make up his mind for matrimony as it had to set the collarbone ten years before. Two hours after the proposal he dashed into the county seat, his pony covered with lather. He wanted a marriage license and he wanted it , He was iitformed that as it was a holiday he would have to wait This didnt suit him, but wait he did, and when the county clerk opened for business the next morning George Blair was on hand, a marriage license was given him and he departed in triumph for the Parley ranch, taking with him a Methodist minister. The wedding was performed and on the following day George Blair and his bride left for a honeymoon trip to California. When they return Blair is to become a partner with his father-in-lain the cattle business.
