"Kid McCoy, who has been working with Munroe, claims thut the latter is a much beter man than he at first supposed he was, and as he is a very clever boxer for such a big fellow. McCoy is confident that the Butte man will give Sharkey one of the hardest 1 tattles he ever had. Sharkey, who has been training in New York, appears to be in the best possible shape, and the statements of his trainers indicate a feeling of confidence In the result. CONSUL MORGAN LEAVES FOR DALNY SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., Feb. 27 Despite the fact that Russia haa refused to grant him an exequator. Edwin V. Morgan, who haa been appointed by this government to act as commercial agent at Dalny, Manchuria, took passage for the Far East today. Mr. Morgan, it is understood, will remain at Yokohoina until he has been further advised from Washington ns to what course to pursue. Sailing on the same ship with Mr. Morgan Is the Korean minister, Minhul Cho. and three of his secretaries. Minhul Cho, who has occupied the position of Korean minister at Washington for several years, has been transferred by his government to the now Important post at Toklo, because of the great inter' est that attaches to that mission at this time. ELKS TO DEDICATE THEIR NEW HOME BALLARD. Wash., Feb. 27. Mem berg of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks are here from many pnrts of the state to take part in the dedication this evening of the magnificent new home of the local branch of the order . The feature of the dedication will be the banquet for which great preparations have been completed. Among those who will respond to toasts are Thomas Newman of Bellingham, William D. Slmonds of Seat tie, Howard Hathaway and Arthur C. Patterson of Everett Charles O. Bates of Tacoma, and Gordon McKay and J. Howard Watson of Olympia. NEW ORLEANS ART 8HOW. NEW ORLEANS, La, Feb. 27. The first annual show of the Art assocla tion of New Orleans opened today un der most favorable auspices. The exhibition Includes the best work In oil pastel and water colors of many of the leading artists of New Orleans and the south and also of a number of artists of other parts of the country.
