Jonathau Heaton was born in Little llarten, Yorkshire, England, January 15, 1S21. lie joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saiuls in April, . Mr. lleaton preached tho Mormon gospel at intervals from ISoli to 1801, and imigratad to jtah in tho last named year, settling at Payson. He was married in Halt Lake City, Nor. 8. 1931, to Miss Sarah Pedtler. During his life, since he came to this place, with the exception of two years spent in anpolo county, ho has tired and want here, through a great hardships many together with others iu helping to make Payson wlat she is today.
