A little unusual excitement took place down on Depot street in front of the residence of Sam Marsh one morning this week, which reminds ns of Aesop's fable of the "Mountain in labor". Henry Nebeker, Geo Fueblo and Mel Quigley were coming up the street in a wagon and saw a large crowd of people, men and women, surrounding a bridge across the water ditch in front of the above mentioned residence. They were armed with clubs, rocks, brooms and other things too numerous to mention. Tho three Btopped and asked tho cause of such excitment, and were told that there was some kind of an animal under the bridge. They joined in the excitement and tore up the bridge, and when the last plank was raised, out popped a weasel. The crowd gave chose to the little animal, which escaped amid a shower of rocks and clubs. The brooms were not brougnt into action, for the women who held them ron screaming iuto the house.
