The coroner's jury which has been holding sn inquest on the body of Jack Watson brave returned a verdict that lie eame to his death by a pistol shot fired by J. W. Warf. The shooting was the result of ill feeling caused over a suit for the wrongful appropriation of water, lu which Watson was fined and Warf wa the prosecuting attorney. The shooting occurred late Saturday evening. Warf was arrested and released on shortly afterward bonds in the sum of 121)00, furnished by R. R. Miller and George Whitmore. Tha shooting took place near ths Fenute saloon, from which both had just emerged. An eye witness states that Watson directed abusive language ko Warf, at the same time pulling his gnu, both firing about the same time. Warf jumped behind a wagon, and Watson stepped up on the platform ln front of the saloon, both keeping np a rapid fire, when suddenly Watson fell with a bullet through his thigh. Warf t.hcn turned and walked away, and Watson, after falling, dragged himself to the door of the saloon, where he gain began firing, when Warf turned and fired, hla abut passing through the abdomen and coming to the surfaue on the left side, between the first and second ribs.
