The Girla League officers registered all mothers and presented them with corsages of sweet peas. At 11:00 oclock a very fine program was presented to all mothers and girls. The program wus as two orchestra selections under the direction of lira W. W. Perkins. Invieation was offered by Mr. Isabel Bingham, followed by the speech of welcome by President Teresas Preece. Sung, Mothers, Dear Old Mother Dear, by nineth grade girls double quartet. The song being one of Mrs. Emrm Thomteys own compositions. The song was introduced by Carla Rae Winn. Thora Ackley paid tribute to the m.thers. lies. Emma Thornley was the guest speaker. She read many of her beautiful poems which she had written. After which Alice Kelsie and Mrs. Thornleys two favorite poems The Dawn and the Pussy Willow Miss Kelaie crowned Mrs. Thornley poet lauriet of the city of Smith field and presented her with a lovely corsage of r:ses and sweet peas.
