Nearly ail, if not all, of the leading business houses in Ogden have been approached by representatives of the Times with the request that they patronise our advertising columua. Our argument is that lhe Times has a large number of readers in every settlement in Weber County; that the farmers like our paper; that a large number read it, and that no better me Hum can be found through which to solicit the trade of the farmers. If we should publish a list of the firms which try to make out that they do not care particularly for thiB country trade it would make interesting reading for the farmers. For sugar beets alone the Weber County farmers received this year some $130,000 cash. For tomatoes and other produco for the cauniug factories our farmers probably received $100,-00- 0 cash. For grains, hay, stock, fruits, etc,, etc., they no doubt received ihat much more, making dote to $500,000 cash which the farmers of Weber County have to spend this season alone. Now is there a business house in Ogden which would not like the patronage of a class which has half a million dollars cold cash to spend each year? We believe not. The way to secure that most desirable trade is to invite it to your sturos, and there is no better medium than the Times. Farmers, keep an eye on the advertising columns of the Times. There you will find the invitation of the business houses which want your trade. No farmer wants to give his trade to a firm that does not consider, it worth asking for. Read the TimeB ' advertisements and patronize those who patronize the Times.
