YOUR SIGNED PROBLEMS WILL BE ANSWERED IN DETAIL PUT YOUR PROBLEMS UN- Featuring The UNIVERSAL Apropos of the magnificent program radlo-caste- d over Station K. F. P. T. last Monday evening hv the Exchange club of Suit Lake, District Engineer H. T. Plumb of the General Electric company spoke of the rapid developments In radio that are going ahead In the east and of what this great activity may shortly mean to Utah. Due largely to the inland location or Utah anil surrounding territory, there Is a natural tendency for people hereabout to be a little slower to capitalize and adopt innovations of the significance of radio, but when appreciation of them does come, it will cotne surely. I think that the manegement behind Station K. F. P. T. is to be complimented on the thorough manner in which they have endeavored to provide a substantial plant for Salt Lake, said Mr. Plumb. "I tuned in on the Exchange clug program myself lust Monday evening and was highly gratified at the clear fashion in which it came over. It requires really no Imagination to grasp the significance of radio activities in telling the world about Utah and the west. It is certainly clear that It is only a mutter of a comparatively brief time that Utah people will be wildly enthusiastic about the function of radio in communication. The east and far west have already successfully demonstrated what ran be successfully done in this direction. I predict that I'tah. too, will surely arise to the opportunities here afforded. "in this land of magnificent distances and great open spaces, I can think of no instrumentality that, everything considered, will bring together every component part of the country in an equal degree with radio. It's value in that direction alone should make it priceless as a community builder," concluded Mr. Plumb. rommu-niiy-buildin- BY MISS 1NA SCRIVNER AUGUST ELECTRIC RANGE Romance Important little grain of the romance Is no Ingredient to preserve and exalt the dignity of human nature, without which It Is apt to degenerate Into everything that la sordid, vicious and low.
